I am 21 weeks pregnant so we had the shower early but we are all too excited heh heh heh 

I’ll have another one in November in Wellington, this was in Auckland.

I had the best time ever!!!!!

I loved seeing all my gorgeous girlfriends and I loved all the nice gifts people gave me.  Our baby is set.  Will be so stylish too.  I’ll take photos of all the baby things I have and post those soon.  They make me super clucky.  So tiny, so cute.  So “awww” hehehe.

Mike and I were treated to a special night while we were up courtesy of BFF Morgan. Accommodation at Sky City it was a luxury room it was lush.  Two course dinner at Dine restaurant.  Cocktails (or obviously mocktails for me) at Lobby bar.  Late check out time and breakfast.  Bliss! We’d been so busy lately we really needed that time together it is so appreciated <3 thank you again x 1,000,000

Morgie picked us up from the airport and hosted the baby shower.  Lots of gluten free baking mm cookies and brownies and chocolate cupcakes.  So much sugar.  So much goodness.   Drinking sparkling grape juice and gossiping.  Oestrogen overload.

A fabulous friend Melissa bought her doppler.  This is special, listening to baby’s heartbeat, I could happily listen to that until it’s time to give birth.  I’m glad I have some friends that have kids of their own too.  Milfs

I wish friends wouldn’t post unflattering photos on facebook.  I wouldn’t post any of my friends.. also, my profile is strictly friends only why do other friends allow full access to said unflattering photos to people who aren’t even their friends?! Grr argh

I have my boss, work mates, gym peoples, family and my boyfriend’s family all as “friends”.  I’m thinking about deactivating my account now.  X

I have a couple days off work at the moment so I haven’t been bothered to write a new post yet.. but, I have read all the comments on my last post and THANK YOU I’ve learnt from them I’m feeling much better.

Especially considering if you google my full name this blog is the first thing that comes (oh my) work could be likely to see it.. Ha…

So, instead, I’ll leave you with some photos until I’m in a better mood to update.

I really hate it! I’ve written about being tipsy vs trashed and I’ve written about hangovers before. I constantly write about health so why do I sacrifice all my hard work when I don’t even enjoy it. Peer pressure? Not so much “pressure” just habit I think.

Anyway, enough is enough this is my life I shall live it the way I want. Now that way is SOBER. I’m a lot happier, a lot healthier, a lot more confident/friendly just feel a lot more like me in general. If you get what I mean. I could list what I dislike about being a drunk but you’ve probably all experienced it before

I’ve spoken to quite a few people and they all agree they are over drinking. It’s binge drinking. NZ is especially bad at this! Seeing as everyone is late 20’s and early 30’s now everyone wants to come up with more creative activities then get together get drunk then regret that in the morning. On special occasions a couple of drinks is fine but a couple = TWO, no more, not for myself anyway. Not any more!!!!!

I feel good to be taking a stand and doing this for myself. I’ve been self destructive, negative and miserable before, but not in 2010.

I want to see photos from everyone else’s new years

I’m back at work now but I had a good break, apart from NYE of course. It was relaxing and got in lots of quality time with my boyfriend. I’m more in love with him every day.

I’m so lucky!!!!!!!!!! x

I would have loved to go away up north with all my friends who are staying in a ballin’ 7 bedroom house… Jealous! Maybe if I was still in Auckland I could have driven up after work but now that I’m way down Wellington looks like this is where I’ll be for the new year.

I’m low on cash but there are lots of fun and creative readers that comment on my blog. Please share some fun and creative (cheap or free would be even better) suggestions.

The limited suggestions I have come up with:

• BBQ dinner and drinks.

BBQ is probably weather dependent and it is raining at the moment. There hasn’t been much good weather here yet, I say *yet* because I’m hopeful that will change next year.

Seeing it is an occasion you could fancy the drinks up a bit and mix cocktails, champagne with strawberries, punch, jelly shots, whatever your favourite drink is.

Although that’s pretty much an any weekend event

• Do something crazy at midnight. Anything you wouldn’t normally do.
• Set an early alarm and take a picnic to watch the first sunrise of 2010. Assuming the sun does rise. Come on rain clouds. BACK DOWN. Champagne breakfast
• Dress up! I don’t have a party to go to but I plan on dressing up, no matter where I end up.
• Go camping. That might have to be “glamping” for me, uhh not in this weather.
• Instead maybe book a hotel, be romantic, get a big room with a spa and drink champagne out of an ice bucket in bed with rose petals all over it. Be over the top.

Do you sense a reaccuring theme with my mention of champagne mm so what if I like bubbly mmm.

• Karaoke. Party games!
• Set off fire works.  But not in the rain
• Get your fortune read. OK maybe not on new years eve but a time when a psychic is around. Find out what’s coming up for you for the year ahead.
• Dance. Even if your at your own house with only your boyfriend and cats. Dance, sexy dance, in your lingerie. Haha. Allwhiledrinkingchampagne
• B&E. Breaking and entering. I’ve heard it’s the best time to for crime (?!). I’m joking guys relax (!!!) haha

I’ve spent too many nights in bars wasting money on overpriced drinks, kissing friends at midnight, dodging police, dodging fights, forgetting everything because I’m too boozed then realizing my new years resolutions of cleaning up my act can wait until the 02 of January I’m too hung over and I want McDonalds.

• Sleep through it. Enjoy new years day

Wellington weather will trick you! It might look lovely and sunny outside but cloud over as soon as you step out, or be windy from what feels like all directions you can’t find shelter.  You will have the best weekend in the sun and then a storm the next day.

I wear my coat inside even now.. so when there is the slightest chance of a nice day I make full use of it.

So does all of Wellington actually buskers come out, the city is full of people, the beaches are lovely, the smell of BBQs,  good vibes
